more on zines
so i started by making a binder
this binder contains all of my ideas and thoughts
i've developed page ideas and i'm even making a test zine
just to see if i could do it.
i'd probably hand them out at rocketown (a local music venue just for teens that's beyond amazing)
just to see if people would actually read them
i'd put in an envelope that's adressed to me
so they could subscribe.
does it cost to get a po box?
cause that could come in handy.
i'm still debating on a name.
i like teeny zine cuz it's going to be small
but that's just a bit too cheesey for even me.
if people did subscribe (50 cents per issue)
then i would send it out via snail mail
i'm not looking to make money.
even if i only pay for postage which is i think like 43 cents
i'm making a 7 cent profit, not including copies, ink, paper, envelopes, and other junk i will need.
i spent $30 dollars on markers the other day. i didn't know that was possible.
i'm thinking of just using my tip money. because i really don't wanna dip into my pay check.
cuz i don't wanna loose too much money.
idk i think it will be a cool thing to do this summer.
=]
thanks for the feedback and encouragement i got from the comments on the last post!
you people are the only reason i sit here and actually type my thoughts out.
you make me feel like i'm not a lone.
and i hope i make other people think that they are not alone in their opions.
in my creative writing class at school we had to write a paper on why we write.
lots of people put down communication. or cuz they had to.
but i put because i want people to know they're not alone.
if one single person who feels all alone reads anything i write and relates to it.
then i've done my job.
Random Quote of the Day: "I can handle the mess, izzie. But you're going to have to break up with me, cause i'm not going anywhere" Alex Karev -- Grey's anatomy! ahhh i lovee him!!! talk about McHottie! haha that's from memory so it's probably not the acutal quote but it's close enough. =]
