Where is the summer romance I wanted??? I mean dur there's been a couple of guys at the concerts I've been too, Guys i've met at movie theaters. But I thought summer would give me more. Volleyball Camp! = wayy too many amazing memories!

So I just got back from V-ball camp! It was sooooo much fun! on the way down we played 10 fingers (if you don't know what that is well go look it up because i don't really have time to explain. ) It was soo much fun!!! when some one said "i've never been out of the country." Sarah goes "does Alaska count?" poor Sarah, we teased her bout that one the entire weekend! =]] then later some one said, "I've never been to the Pacific ocean." and then sarah goes "Where's the Pacific Ocean?" and I was like "The one by Alaska!" We laughed lots! Also A football camp was happening the same time as our camp so the Srs. decided that the Freshies (me) had to get one of there phone numbers. I did but it was very very nerve wrecking!!!
We placed 4th in our bracket. Which was good considering we had to play varsity when we're only JV. and our Varsity got 1st!! yay!!! There was also a door decorating competition and we got 6th and won a flag for our locker room!!! go us!! =]] It was all in all a good weekend! I'm very tired and i ache all over though so i'm thinking it's time for sleepy time.

Abilene Texas Trip

I went to Abilene Tx
I met some wonderful people.

I cleaned apartments for pregnant women who don't have housing.

I saw a 3 year old boy named brandon who was being put up for adoption because his mom couldn't take care of him.

I played bingo at a retirment home.

I helped with a VBS for inner city children.

I met a girl named marianna, her 4 year old cousin was shot and killed in a drive by shooting last year.

I met a teenage mom who was a great person who just happened to make a mistake. (like the rest of us do)

I talked to a girl whose cousin had commited suicide monday, and her friend had been murdered a coupple of weeks before that.

My friend met a child who was so sweet and ask her how she got a scratch on her leg, Crissy laughed and said "oh I just triped." The child then told her "See this scratch on my face? (Crissy just nodded) My momma scratched me... Does your momma hit you?" Crissy handled it much better than i could. She just said no. Then she had to watch this precious little girl go back to her house.

And no matter how many problems they had they were just like me and you, they like to dance and "get silly" they play the same games we play. They love to laugh and have a good time.

Somtimes all you really need is to see or hear about someone who is so much worse off then you to realize how good you have it.

I didn't type this up to make your day worse, I typed this to make you realize that even if it does seem like they are worse off, they really are not. We have diffrent problems then them, but we still have problems, but we can diffently learn from them, make the smaller, happy times, count for more then the big sad ones. learn to take life by the moment and live every second to the fullest. Be as happy as you can humanly possibly be! Because everyone has hard times, but some people choose to dwell on thoes hard times, Some people choose to let their hearts be happy, and to praise God even when it seems like the hardest thing to do. These kids no matter what their story, were so willing to be loved! Even if they knew we were only going to be there for a few days. When the time came to say goodbye we were all crying and hugging, no one wanted to leave. But I came home with a diffrent perspective on life. I've seen that sweet girls face so many times in my head. When I was upstairs in my room crying because i didn't get my way with something or another I think back to playing kickball with thoes kids and seeing their smiling faces, Playing duck duck goose with the younger ones and how precious it was when they picked another kid and ran around together. thinking of when they would pick one of us "adults" and we would pick them and let them catch us just to see them giggle or with a huge smile on their face.
